Maximum Recording Time on Ziggeo Leads to Self-Editing

One of the brilliant features of Ziggeo (if we do say so ourselves) is that a maximum recording time can be set so that videos cannot be recorded and submitted that are more than the maximum set recording time.  So for instance, if you want only 20 second videos or 2 minute videos (or whichever maximum recording time you like), that's the maximum length of video that can be submitted.  Even if you enable uploading of videos, videos that are longer will be cut down to size (that is, only the first 20 seconds (or whichever maximum recording time you've set will be submitted). But not to worry, those who are uploading videos will be notified their videos are too long so they can re-record their videos if they like.

What is the result of setting a maximum recording time?  People need to self-edit.  That is, you'll usually receive tighter, more focused videos when a maximum recording time is set.  And let's face it: we hate editing.  So isn't' it better for people to edit themselves rather than making us do it for them?

But if you like editing, you can always leave the recording time limitless.  But if you decide to go that route, proceed with caution.  You may have wished you'd set that limit after watching reams of rambling videos.
